ALL GUYS PLEASE READ: Serious Post

This is not one of my typical rants. In fact, this is something special that God has placed upon my heart as of late.

I feel that, although the general messages in Sunday school and Bible study are nice and helpful, the men in our group need more. Not necessarily more quantity, but definitely more detail and concentration. I think it would be a real Christian growth boost to start an all-male bible study on the weeks that we don’t meet as a mixed group (i.e., the "official" Bible study). The topics would focus on being a true man of God in all walks of life, and the importance of faithful accountability/finding a trustworthy male partner. I was talking to Mike tonight and he agreed with me and said that he believes some men today see Christianity as a somewhat feministic religion because it is all about love, but that true love is the most powerful thing a man can experience. This "focus group," if you will, is an opportunity for the men of our group (as in, the entire group of First Baptist C/C men) to learn about what it means to be a Godly man, and how to live that life. I am opening my home for these meetings, though that is always the case here at the pad.

If the guys reading this would please give me some feedback, that would be most helpful in getting the ball rolling on this endeavor. Possible other meeting times that may be better, alternate locations, ideas for specific topics, basically anything that pops into your head regarding this, I would love to hear it.

As a footnote, I would strongly encourage all the girls to discuss having similar meetings for just themselves to talk about being women of God.

Thank you listening, and have a great night.

..........with sharp pointy teeth.

Def dealing with a lot right now. My leg has been bothering me more than normal lately (partially cause of the weather), my dad has been putting a lot of pressure on me (some of which I understand), I am having mixed feelings ranging all over the chart about an un-named friend (i.e., I am internally confused howI should feel twards her for multiple reasons), and to top things off no matter what I seem to tell myself I keep going through periods of deep depression (no cause, no reason, I'll just sink past the bottom of the barrel). Yeah, all this crap has me super mentally exhausted.

Sorry to vent, I do that sometimes (but you already know that, lol). On a somewhat brighter note, I enjoyed myself (for the most part) tonight as everyone came over t watch Spiderman. *NOTE THIS* Chrissy actually left before a lot of people, as well as this departure occuring before midnight. GASP!

Any day now...........

*Ranting shall commence here*

I think some people just need to grow up. High school is over, and you can't go back. I'm not going to mention names here because I think you know exactly who you are.

For more authority, I have sought the backing of God himself. In the words of the apostle Paul:

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I
thought as a child: but when I became a
man, I put away childish things."
 - I Corinthians 13:11

I think that is about all for now. I hope some of you will take this to heart, I wouldn't say stuff like this if I didn't think it's for you own good.

Goodnight.
